1 box plant base blend (Can use any blend), fresh herbs (dill, parsley & mint). Serve on top of chopped romaine (romaine can be soaked in cold water to clean. This will also crisp up the romaine). It is topped with feta cheese, olives, red onion (sliced onions can be soaked in cold water to remove a harsh taste), Roasted red pepper, fresh lemon juice, and olive oil. You could also add fresh cucumber or hummus! Check the salad for any seasoning adjustments. This can be served as a meal or a beautiful centerpiece at a family gathering.
Traditionally, a North African & Israeli dish consisting of eggs poached in sauce and other vegetables. It can be cooked in a cast iron pan or skillet, that is 9" or larger. Use a lid or something to cover to finish cooking the eggs.
1 box plant or other base blend. Dice 1 medium onion & 1 bell pepper, 4 cloves of minced garlic, and veggies in 2 T olive oil. Add 2 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp cumin, and 1 tsp chili powder. Add one 28-ounce can of crushed tomato and 1 box of thawed blend. When the mixture begins to bubble, crack 6 eggs into the mixture. Make a small hole in the mixture so the eggs stay in place. Cover for about 10 min. Top with fresh chopped cilantro.
You can use bibb/butter lettuce or romaine lettuce. Our Chicken Blend can be tossed with fresh dill and parsley. Top your lettuce wraps with sliced avocado, chopped nuts for crunch, and sliced vegetables such as scallion, sweet peppers, carrots, or bean sprouts. You can add red pepper flakes, salsa, or hot sauce for spice.
Use green or yellow zucchini. Cut lengthwise. Using a small spoon, gently hollow out the seeds. Lightly brush zucchini with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Roast in a 400-degree oven for 5-10 min. Do not overcook zucchini, as it should still be firm. Season chicken blend with desired herbs or seasonings. Gently stuff zucchini boats. Add Italian seasoning and chopped tomato, shredded mozzarella, topped with basil for an Italian theme. You could finish with a drizzle of balsamic reduction. Add cheddar, chopped tomato, salsa, jalapeno, lime, and fresh cilantro for a Mexican theme.
Sauté diced red bell pepper & onion in olive oil. Add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and pepper flake for spice. You can use premix chili seasoning. 1 small can of your favorite beans, such as kidney or black beans. Add lime juice or red wine vinegar for acid. Add 1 small can of fire-roasted tomato. Add 1 box beef blend. Garnish with avocado, chopped tomato, onion, cheese, lime, or cilantro.
Using 1 head of savoy cabbage, gently pull off whole leaves. Gently steam them or blanch whole leaves for 15 seconds. Shock them in ice water to stop cooking. Mix 1 box of warm beef blend in a bowl with any additional cooked vegetables. Mushrooms work well. Add cauliflower rice (used in photos) or cooked brown rice (more traditional for cabbage rolls) to stretch the blend. Add about ½ cup to each cabbage leaf and roll like a burrito. Bake cabbage rolls for about 15 minutes in a 350-degree oven. Add a can of diced tomato or tomato sauce to your dish.

GOLO meals can be cooked from frozen or thawed in the refrigerator and then cooked. Meals should be cooked to 165°F (too hot to touch). A safe refrigerator shelf-life is 3 to 4 days after being placed in the refrigerator while still frozen.
Microwave
Moisture in the Phytonutrient
Sauce helps steam your blend.
Once cooked, stir sauce to evenly
distribute moisture.
1. Remove lid. Place container
in microwave.
2. Microwave for 2 minutes.
3. Remove from microwave.
Stir well.
4. Microwave for 2 more minutes
or until internal temperature
reaches 165°F.
5. Stir thoroughly and enjoy.
Skillet
Once thawed, a GOLO meal
is best heated in a skillet.
This ensures the meal retains
moisture and cooks evenly.
1. Preheat skillet with 1 Tbsp
water.
2. Pour contents into skillet
on low to medium and cook
covered for 3 minutes, stirring
occasionally.
3. Uncover skillet. Cook for
2 to 3 minutes or until internal
temperature reaches 165°F,
stirring occasionally.
Note – It’s still okay to cook a frozen meal in a skillet, or a thawed meal in the microwave, if preferred.
Absolutely! Our Plant-Based Blend is rich in protein, thanks to the combination of quinoa and beans. For those seeking an extra protein boost, our hearty Egg Blend, Chicken Blend, Chicken and Rice Blend, and delicious Beef Blend (raised without antibiotics or growth hormones) provide additional animal protein to keep you full and energized throughout the day.
With GOLO Foods, the delicious possibilities are endless. Enjoy it as a complete meal or pair it with a protein, salad, or anything you can imagine.
All five blends are lightly seasoned so you can flavor them as you like with extra salt, pepper, sauces, or anything you can imagine.
One benefit of minimal processing is that our blends are lower in sodium than other processed frozen meals. We only use fresh sea salt along with our healthy ingredients to naturally preserve and help keep the sodium content lower.
The ingredients in our nutrient-dense blends will keep you fuller longer because they have good amounts of protein and fiber. You’ll see that one serving can satisfy your hunger compared with less nutrient-rich meals.
Our ingredients are prepared just like you would cook them at home, so you’re getting real food with no additional processing. We prepare each ingredient separately, then blend them together and blast freeze so no additional artificial preservatives are necessary.
The Phytonutrient Sauce flavors and enriches each meal, making it even more nutritious. It’s a combination of quality oils, Phyto extracts, and flavorings blended in pureed butternut squash and placed in the center of the meal. You simply stir the puree into the meal during the heating process to distribute.
Healthy complex carbohydrates are part of a balanced diet. Our blends contain powerful complex carbohydrates that digest slowly to help maximize energy levels and provide good nutrition.
The great thing about our blends is that no one flavor dominates the meal. Even if one of our ingredients isn’t your favorite, each ingredient is balanced to create a total taste experience that complements and doesn’t overpower. You may not even taste any one ingredient or find that the foods you didn’t like before taste great together. Give it a try and let us know.
Beans are a great way to get vitamins, fiber, and even protein into your diet. The mung and adzuki beans we use have a mild flavor and are more digestible than some other common beans. If you have never tried them before, you may be surprised at how good they are!
Every batch of GOLO Foods is tested during production and before being released from our facility. The GOLO Foods blends are naturally preserved with sea salt, oils, and rosemary extract and have a safe refrigerator shelf life of 3 to 4 days after being placed in the refrigerator while still frozen.
