The Journey of Losing Weight: Are You Setting Your Expectations Too Low?
Are you facing despair, anxiety, and thinking that losing weight now and forever is just a crazy dream? What if we tell you that it is not only possible, but you can even exceed your expectations?
This weight loss journey story confirms that for some reason, many people need to reach a “point of no return.” This is where the issue isn’t about fitting into jeans, but about the sugar levels, cholesterol, and not being able to run the stairs anymore. As Steven, a GOLO customer admits, "I don’t want to think I weighed 250 pounds, but I know I did. My health was failing. My marriage was failing. I could no longer do my job at the level that I expect myself to, and I was prediabetic. I had to do something about it."
Steven tried many diets that ended up failing. He had low self-esteem and was filled with doubt that anything would work. He tried all the deceptive yo-yo diets that compromise the willpower and capacity we have to transform our body with the right program, supplement, and support. When Steven had reached bottom, the solution appeared to him. "I saw the ad for GOLO on TV,” he said. “I was skeptical, to say the least, but what they were saying made so much sense. I bought the product. I followed the program".
Steven’s goal was to be under 200 pounds, and his fantasy was to be 180 or less. Shockingly, he was setting his expectations very low! Today, Steven weighs a svelte 164 pounds. He opens up about how exciting it is to surpass goals: "It makes me cry to think about how grateful I am. My new goal is to quit all the prescribed medication for the rest of my life. This is a goal I can set for myself with a realistic expectation because I’m not carrying around 50-pounds in front of me. My back doesn’t hurt as much, my feet don’t hurt at all, and no one recognizes me."
Steven went from a size 40 waist to size 32. His joy from his new body and new life are demonstrated emphatically by his genuine smile. Like Steven, you can set expectations that might sound crazy when you are depressed and at your lowest point. But with the right program, nutritious food, and support you can not only create a new body but a happier life. What are you waiting for?
